Comments
We use Akismet to prevent spam. When you comment on a post, we record your IP address, browser user agent string, and email. We do not require last names, nor do we record them when they are included in the comment form. Comments can be entered directly in the post or through our contact page.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. If your comment is approved and you are on Gravatar, your profile picture will appear alongside your comment.
Submissions
Deafinprison.org accepts submissions. All submissions will be approved and edited before posting. We will provide graphics and media, but if you send us a submission with media, I strongly suggest that you do not use files with embedded location data—EXIF GPS. Any visitor can download this data. You can use our contact page or email BitcoDavid directly with all submissions. All files received will be scanned for malware and embedded data.
Cookies
DeafInPrison.org stores cookies on your browser. Cookies are optional but on by default. We do not save any personal data. Only your IP address, browser user agent string, and email address. DHCP addresses are not recorded. If you use a VPN, we will record the VPN address.
Who we share your data with
We do not share data with any other organization, company, or search engine. Be aware, however, that Google uses its own technology to track users on the Internet. This is no secret, and it has been going on since the very beginning. Do not be surprised if after visiting DeafInPrison.org, you see ads and suggestions provided by Google.
Your rights regarding your data on this site
If you have visited this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. These requests can be submitted on our contact page or by direct email.
