Petitions Delivered

UPS has informed me, that all our petitions have been delivered. We have done our part, now it’s up to Florida to do theirs. This was a learning experience for me, because it was neither easy nor cheap. It required several trips to Staples for printing, as well as a large amount of printing here, at the massive DeafInPrison.com Plaza. Between the printing costs, and the shipping costs… well… let’s just say, I felt the bite.

But this is a happy post. A genuine Emoji.  Florida’s  Praetorian Guard now have hard-copy proof of our labor. They are awed by the sheer magnitude of the names, and shamed by their own state’s wrongheadedness and inhumanity.

We have issued our Concordat. The Jacobin have stormed the Bastille. This is our Battleship Potemkin moment.

Scott Carey – armed with nothing more than a nail – has confronted the spider.

    • Thanks Jen, and of course Rumpy. Compliments are always great, but even more so, when they come from Malamutes.

Thank you! I am sure Pat appreciates your support. She and Felix were alone without us for many years until we found them. I told Pat that I love her and your fancy English and your subtle sense of humor too. 🙂

I am curious who did you send the petition to? To the Governor or to each Cabinet Member? I sent 1 1/2 page letter to the Governor and each Cabinet Member two weeks ago. I think I wrote a very good letter.

Would you like us to donate some money for printing and shipping costs? I will be more than happy to chip in some dollars to help you. 🙂

  2. No, Penny. But thank you so much for offering. I only wanted to express some of the effort involved, so people would understand our level of commitment. Your kind and complimentary comment is more than enough remuneration for me. The petition, along with a personal letter from me, was sent to Governor Scott’s office, Pam Bondi’s office, and the other 2 members of the Clemency Board. Those addresses have been posted on the site, here:

  3. When will be clemency board hearing? Did you know Rick Scott and Pam Bondi, their term is almost end this Nov unless reelection. I don’t think they will be re-elected. They don’t support gay marriage so we married in Washington DC instead. We are legally married couple.

  4. As I understand it, a new hearing is scheduled for December, but we’re not supposed to be saying that. Apparently it’s viewed as an arrogance on our part. The Board can decide to move it to another date, or to drop it altogether. Yes, I know Scott and Bondi are on borrowed time, but a) who can say what the outcome of an election will be, and b) even if they are voted out in November, the new Administration doesn’t take over until January. This could be their one farewell deed – to right themselves with their God. (So to speak. 😉 )

Glad to know that you sent the Petition to each of them. I sent original letter to Governor Scott and CC to the rest, Attorney Garcia, Pat and Felix. I hope the Governor and Cabinet Members will open their mind/heart and free Felix. Thanks again, BitcoDavid. 🙂
